SMN offers indie artists a great opportunity for air play of their best music.  Our own M-Radio show is a video podcast that features only indie music.  The show is sponsored, but no commercial spots play during the show.  Your music can be presented either in audio format, or in video format.  So, if you have a video of one or more of your songs, send them along.

Due to the targeting of Internet broadcasters by Congress (more info), we do require that your music be either unlicensed, or that you own the performance and broadcast rights to the song.  We cannot play licensed music, or music to which you do not own the broadcast / performance rights.

So, if you own it outright, and you want it aired, SMN is probably your best bet.  We have very broad boundaries, but we so have a few on the content we will air.  Check Here for info.

We use the services of www.garageband.com and music.podshow.com for locating new indie artists and music.  You may already have your music posted there.  However, there are thousands of artists and songs in each of these services.  It is likely that we will eventually find you there, but you may want to speed things up by just sending us your music.  Here's how to do it:

How To Send Us Your Music & Videos

  • Snail Mail

Mail your CD or DVD to:

    Kevin Smith
    SMN
    1930 N. Country Club Dr.  Ste. 1001
    Mesa, AZ 85201

Be sure you send us a signed statement that you own the music (list the titles in the statement) performance and broadcast rights, and that you are granting Steeleye Media the right to broadcast them royalty free.

It is also good for you to send us album art in .jpg or .png format so we can display it on screen if we use it on our video feed.

  • E-Mail

Use our online form to send us your music and to authorize us to play it.  It is fast and simple.  However, if the file size is too large and it will not upload, you will have to send it via snail mail.
